Biography of Hieu Tran

Hieu was born in Vietnam and lived there for the first 13 years of his life. He was raised by a single mother due to his father becoming MIA during the Vietnam War. At the age of 13, he escaped Vietnam and came to the United States alone.

Once in America, he was taken in by a loving foster family in Havana, IL. He had to shut down his biological culture and adapt to his new life of learning English and the American culture. Through the chances he took, the choices he made, and adapting to changes, he was able to reconnect with his biological family after 7 years of no communication with them.

Currently, Hieu is married to Angel, his high school sweetheart of 20 years. They have three sons: Ethan (19), Alex (16), and Evan (15). He has been a successful Financial Rep with Country Financial for the last 18 years and owns his own office in Lombard, IL.

Hieu also gives motivational speeches about his journey and how he became successful in his line of work and life. After speaking to people and listening to their feedback after his speeches, he decided to take their advice and take a chance on a book.
